Hard front and back covers act as a natural drawing board, giving you a firm, stable surface to work from wherever you are. When you’re done, they also keep your work safe on the go.
The paper is tough enough to handle watercolour, acrylics, pastels, and mixed media. It can take reworking without breaking down, and allows paint and pigments to dry to a sharp, bright finish.
Handmade in Somerset by a small team of skilled craftspeople.

Every sheet begins as raw cotton and linen fibre, prepared in our Hollander beaters and formed by hand at our mill in Watchet, Somerset.
Traditional moulds and deckles give each sheet its natural edges. Gelatine tub-sizing finishes the surface, keeping paint workable and allowing pigment to dry to a sharp, vivid finish without sinking into the sheet. Lifting and reworking is easy, something machine-made papers rarely allow.
The full process takes three to four working days. Suitable for watercolour, acrylics, oils, pastels, printmaking, and photographic processes.

I hav ejust ordered 3 more of these pads! I love that they have totally rigid harback cover and front so they are self-supported when you work on them. I love the spiral binding which means you can flip to use either side as you use the pad. Let’s not forget what sits between the covers mind you – the paper is simply a dream for me as a watercolour artitst and tutor. This paper will let you do anything to it. It is so well sized that paint flow is poetic and it can take much re-working. I use it to paint my mini test tutorials and full tutorial pieces for my workshops. It is a thing of joy to be able to look back at my work on this paper. Thank you for making it!

I have been using these Pads since their conception, they are superb for Gouache , Watercolour, pen & ink wash, Acrylic and Pastel / Charcoal. I use them for test works, sketches and finished works. The paper is very easy to use as you float colour across its surface is a joy to use.
