Questions about our Paper?
Two Rivers is the paper of choice for many artists worldwide. It is both forgiving and versatile, making it suitable for a wide range of media, including watercolour, acrylics, oils, pastels, printmaking, and photographic processes.
All our products are handmade by skilled craftspeople using traditional methods. Each sheet is created from a blend of cotton and linen that has been broken down into individual fibres using the mill’s Hollander beaters.
The gentle air-drying process and gelatine sizing enhance the paper’s strength. Our sizing method allows artists to easily manipulate paint on the surface, or even to remove it. The paint does not absorb into the paper, allowing the pigment to dry to a sharp, brilliant finish. The entire making process, from start to finish, takes 3 to 4 working days.
