Questions about our Paper?
There are very few mills in Europe still making paper this way. At Two Rivers, every sheet is formed by hand from a blend of cotton and linen, using traditional moulds and deckles that give each one its own natural deckle edge.
Gelatine tub-sizing finishes the surface, keeping paint fluid and workable, and allowing pigment to dry to a sharp, brilliant result. The whole process, from fibre to finished sheet, takes three to four working days. The paper is suitable for watercolour, acrylics, oils, pastels, printmaking, and mixed media.
